The next round is up!

Once again we are looking for talented, dedicated and creative musicians and video artists from Austria! Join in and get a head start with the Austrian Newomer Award 2008! Join the music world of Europe!

Well. Since I am rather sure, there might be at least some musicians hiding amongst our readers, I would like to pass on this invitation as follows:

The ANA08 is no band contest. Musical talent is the only criteria, which is to be jugded by a professional jury of musicians, journalists and our sponsors.

The award finals will take place at the Posthof, Linz, February 13th 2007 - where all the fans can see their favourite band live on stage!

Interested? No matter how old you are, whether you are signed by a record label or not, whether you are into rock, blues, jazz, pop, hiphop, metal, fusion, punk, folk or reggae music – Send us your track now!

Oh kay, the less cynical amongst our readers may ask themselves, but what about the “coincidences” mentioned in the header? Well. To explain this, I have to take you on a sidetrip to my own biography - blurred by nostalgia und photoshop®: precisely, to the picture on the very left, the oldest one, which is this one.

Seen it? Fine. And now, here’s another picture, taken from a greater distance, in the same evening, twenty-three years from now:

Life is a circle.
Especially, when the center of such a circle is the dedication to music.
That’s how we meet again, Heli Mayr, old companion - even though it’s only through a mass mail to one of hundreds of bands within the fm4 soundpark. I hope, you’re doing fine? And you, Frank - still out there? And, by the way, what was Kerschi’s first name?

You, dear reader, please don’t mind this short trip into the lands of sentiment. And, if you like, take this with you from this posting: Take care of your friendships! (Martin, you know, what I mean…)
