Fast fünf Jahre hat es gedauert von den ersten Takes bis zum fertigen Mix. Achtzehn Versionen wurden arrangiert und wieder verworfen. Fünf Gitarren, zwei Bässe, ein Klavier und sogar eine Mundharmonika mussten dafür herhalten, und nicht zuletzt mein Freund [i:s], der dem Projekt mit seiner famosen Interpretation der Hook einen entscheidenden Vorwärtsschub verpasste.
